Completing another series, I found this story to be exciting and fun to read.Plot: This story pick up where the last book left off. Both Fi and Asher are fighting against time to get back to their home. In the midst of all of that, they are fighting nature as well. I think the plot flowed well with excitement and adventure. Each chapter gave the reader more information about the world collapsing, the food and of course the ones who started the rebellion.
Love: Fi and Asher go through some pretty heavy stuff as being a such a young age. They already have to endure the world falling apart and now they are trying to save it. I like how well these two grew together and not apart. When they needed each other, they were there. They put everything aside just to make sure the other was okay. I really loved how well they communicated and the strength they give each other.
Earth: Once I finish reading this story it got me thinking about food. It is true that most of the food I eat is well...not even real. It's bagged and processed and who knows if what I'm eating is effecting my body. Maybe it even cause the Autism in my son. *Shrugs* I'll never know. What I do know is that I made a personal goal to eat more real food. I plan on visiting my local farmers market and picking out fresh vegetables and fruits with the family. It's a start.
Overall, Emergence is fine ending to a great series. It brings out all the truth, tying up each loose end nicely. It gives hope to the reader with the first sign of green. A remarkable ending, Emergence is wonderful

Emergence Eden Root Trilogy Book 3 eBook Rachel Fisher Reviews
This book was definitely helped the trilogy go out with a bang! The first half of the book is pretty depressing, but that is to be expected in Fi's world. She has finally reached her limit & it was hard to see her really struggle after all that she has been through. But of course she snaps out of it and becomes herself again. The journey through this book changes her in the end, so many things make her grow up even more. There were quite a few times that Asher broke my heart, poor guy I can imagine how how hard things were on him. Both he & Fi are still pretty BA & I love that about them. I loved all the moments they managed to steal together as well as them just working as a team & being parents. I loved the relationship between Fi & Sara because they are both so awesome. Sean & Sarah area a fun couple too! There was no shortage of action or heartbreak as the series came to end. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series & was completely satisfied with the ending. I loved the epilogue as well.
Wow! What a ride! Look if I'm dingy today, I blame Rachel Fisher. This book started out rolling and didn't stop. Real life got in my way, or I would've finished this in a day or so. Somewhere around 60%, it felt slower but that was the calm before the storm. I figured last night. I'd start reading it midnight and I would fall asleep. The sun was well up in the sky for two hours before I fell asleep. I could not put the book down. I wanted to know what was going to happen to Fi and her friends.
I gave this five stars because, as usual, Ms. Fisher told a wonderful tale. But I noticed that somewhere around 60% of the book, there were a few mistakes words left out or tiny misspellings. The other thing that really bothered me and I know this is just me, how did Fi deal with dirty diapers? I've had four kids. I could not have fought a war with any one of them hanging from me. I know Fi is a really strong woman. But somehow I have a hard time grasping a woman who just gave birth and running 3 miles with her baby in the backpack. It just seems rather impossible to me. But that doesn't stop the story. And it is an amazing one. Maybe I missed something in reading it.
I love the ending! I will have to reread the trilogy again as I miss this great bunch of characters!
Oh my. Fi and the gang went out with a bang. What a fantastic end to a great trilogy. I want to do this book justice and leave a detailed review, but I really hate putting spoilers in my reviews! Let's see...
Fi and her crew are on their way home when they realize Eden's radio has gone silent. Upon arriving, they find that the Truthers have hit them where it hurts, and hard. It's almost too much for the gang to handle, but they manage to make a plan and see it through. If you read book 2, you know that Fi is very pregnant at this point and will give birth. Her delivery and first couple of weeks as a new mother brought back so many memories of my son's delivery and the first couple of months for me. Of course, I had a much easier time than Fi, since I didn't have to deal with the devastated world and religious fanatics threatening the people I love! Fi had a rough time, and it was hard seeing her so weak and vulnerable, but it also showed that she IS just human and sometimes the pressures of being a total badass can just be too much.
The glimpses into Lawson's mind were fantastic, though it made me see him a bit more sympathetically than I wanted. I'm guessing that was intentional, since Fi has always been about nonviolence and sympathy, but I just wanted to write him off as a psycho using religion as a means to domination.
The relationships Fi has with the members of her Family and the fierce loyalty she feels toward Eden were heartwarming and very touching, and Rachel Fisher's writing - through all three books - made me feel like I was a member of this Family, too. I laughed quite a bit, and I teared up a few times, too. Near the end, tragedy strikes and my heart almost broke, but Fi and her Family push on, hellbent on reseeding the earth and making it inhabitable again. The epilogue was great, and I was pleased to see Fi and Asher get their happy ending - or beginning.
